Answer: These temptations and setbacks are the Joker—the Demon—in the deck of life. The Demon is not God’s enemy; it is the “Ultimate Opposition Party” that God deliberately permits to exist. Its purpose is the “Demonic Trial”: to test and weed out those whose minds are unsteady. Yet as long as one guards the mind, the Joker becomes the most powerful catalyst for awakening.
